StoopingMap (“we”, “our”, or “us”) helps people share and discover free furniture and other items left on the street. We do not require user accounts. We collect limited in-app analytics events (such as taps and navigation flows) to improve the App. We do not track users across other apps or websites, and we do not sell data.
We only collect data that is strictly necessary for the app to function:
Promotional use (item photos only). Public photos of items (for example, furniture) may be used for promotional purposes, such as showcasing items shared in the App on social media or marketing materials. We do not use photos that include people or other identifying information.
We use analytics only for internal product improvement. We do not use analytics for targeted advertising or cross-app profiling, and we do not sell analytics data.
App data (item posts, selected notification areas, and push tokens) is stored on Supabase, a managed cloud database platform that follows industry-standard security practices and supports GDPR compliance.
Limited analytics event data is processed by PostHog for product analytics. We do not collect names, email addresses, payment details, or precise location history for analytics, and we do not link analytics events to an identifiable individual.
Backup data is retained for a limited period and is automatically overwritten on a rolling basis.
Some features, including area-based notifications, are available only through paid subscriptions. All subscriptions are auto-renewable and are handled entirely by Apple via the App Store.
We do not receive or store payment information, billing details, or personal identifiers related to subscriptions.
StoopingMap is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect stored data. While no system can guarantee absolute security, we take appropriate steps to minimize risk.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page, and the date above will reflect the latest revision.
